Our school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.  It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. Each child is recognised as an individual and encouraged to develop his or her varying talents, interests and potential.  We aim to provide an ethos in which pupils can learn and be happy, providing them with a firm and lasting foundation of knowledge and values to serve them as they grow up and take their place in society.

Parents moving into the locality or considering sending their child to the school are invited to contact the school office to arrange a visit. Admissions are dealt with by the Local Authority in accordance with their published criteria. If parents so wish, their child’s entry to Reception can be delayed until the beginning of Term 3 or 5, provided that they start in the term after their fifth birthday. If the school’s standard number for admissions is oversubscribed, places will be offered in accordance with the criteria outlined by the Local Authority.

Applying for a place - general information

For children entering Reception at primary school in September, this is done directly through Gloucestershire County Council.

For a place at Whitminster in years 1 to 6, or during the school year (In-Year Application), this is done directly through the school administrator.

Deadlines to apply

You must apply for a primary school place by 15 January.

You must apply for a secondary school place by 31 October.

How to apply

For Reception September intake, you will need to fill in a form (online or on paper) which can be found on the Gloucestershire County Council website. https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions

You’ll be asked to list the schools you’re applying for in order of preference. You must apply for at least 3 schools.

When you’ll find out

Councils will send confirmations for:

primary schools on 16 April
secondary schools on 3 March
